Skolars drawn at home to Scorpions in the first round, match presumably to take place on 20 February.

Good to see RFL managed a regionalised draw this year. Reasonably confident that we won't have to endure a 74 point home drubbing in the competition this year!

Can't say I recognise too many of the Scorpions players, but they have been a bit of a bogey team of late.

Good performance yesterday. After the first quarter softening up period, we were dominant. Forwards were physically too strong for South Wales. I thought handling was good given the horrible conditions and that the team patiently waited for points to come. Hopefully a good indication of what we can expect this year.

On the down side: what happened with the beer? The number of cans of Skol left at the end rather shows that the Skolars supporters are a discerning lot when it comes to choosing their tipple.
