Last night I booked the train to the match.

This morning they announce it is being moved to Sunday 27th July and to Cardiff Arms Park.

Doh!

I did. Really enjoyed the day if not the result. Terrific stadium and a real thrill to be where so many greats of Welsh rugby have run out. Enjoyed the bar. Impressed how they had got the 1974 retro look down to a tee. Brains Bitter was ace.

As to the game Skolars didn't deserve to win . You cannot continually drop the ball on early tackles in your own 20 and hope to win. I thought the forwards generally went well, particularly Lamont and Martyn. Backs were pretty woeful. Another instalment in an underwhelming season.

Agree about the game. Not sure about the Brains.

The team was the strongest we have put out. The forwards set the platform but far to many mistakes from the back line. Have no idea why the 'wee man's' trade mark try from a yard out was disallowed in the first half.

Officals were poor. No penalty for a shoulder charge the ref called. He only gave us an offside decision for them not being 10m with a couple of minutes to go when SWS were constantly infront of the ref.

Why we didn't go for the drop goal towards the end was a strange decision. We dropped it near the line and they went up the other end and took the 1 point.

Hope it wasn't Brains Smooth that you tried. That is filth.

Disappointed on the trip not to come across any of Wales' original loony juice, Felinfoel (feeling foul) Double Dragon

It was the hand one.

The loony juice sounds dreadful . Looks like a lot of the players in the 1st game had been drinking that looking at the size of the bellys.

Met Mr Juliff again. He was impressed with the Skolars support.

Chatting to a couple that went, was told the ref was indeed woeful. High shots, shoulder charges, off side etc all being "missed" by him.
But SWS played him better than we did.
Far toooo many knock ons from the same players as always.
Lacked organisation in attack, especially in their 20.
Lamont,Williams and big Macca all went well.
Reading on twitter Cox passed his COG test yesterday. Seems he suffered a concussion early in the 2nd half. And doesn't remember most of it.
No mention of how the Broncos Lads did for us though. Were they that anonymous?

Yes. Bishay was the best of the lot. I didn't even realise Dollapi had started and Macani really needs to work on his handling. Duckworth just appears to be marking time.

With regard to the officials it was a tough game to ref. There was a lot going on and a lot of penalties were blown as it was. Big Dave's second "try" did look good to me rather than held up, but the officials can only give it as they see it. even more penalties would not have helped the game.

Bishay looked ok but the other broncos boys were not good . Dual reg at its worse. Yates looks the part and is very vocal but faded in the second half . Ref was shocking but if you don't retain the ball you don't win .

Skolars will only get better with a settled side who know how each other plays. Not been like that this season .
