Post subject:  blackpool v skolars

After an awful journey to Blackpool we finally arrived to beautiful sunshine. Skolars looked up for this game.
The lads were looking confident and fit, but this was not to last. Blackpool got the first points on the board, but Skolars kept up a good defence, passing the ball, completing sets. We managed to level the score at 10 all. It was a fast paced game. What a find the French lad Jeremy is...great to watch, gets around the pitch well. But to be honest there were a few players who should not have been on the pitch, they lacked committment and I feel that no only did they let themselves down, but they let down their team mates.....sloppy tackling...since when has arms waving like barn doors been a tackle, half hearted tackling, not committing yourself to the tackle, turning your back on a player on your own line....I know we dont have a great choice when it comes to players, but please use the ones you have effectively and not leave them on the bench getting frustrated....Graham Spence...a right little pit-bull, gets in players faces, Cory playing his heart out (you might have been knackered, but there was no need to have a sleep on the pitch...we could hear the snoring) went in for a tackle and got knocked sparko...hope you feel ok in the morning. :-) Ollie Fountain got about 10minutes at the end, but tackled anything thing that moved...and boy he can jump, he collected a high ball out jumping everyone. Skolars should have won today, or at least got a bonus point but again they lost the game by themselves.
Workington at home next week...maybe we can do the double on them....

The problem with this years team has not only been the coaching staff but also player selections. Players that are not good enough to play in this league have been selected such as Oli Fountain, Jerry Obuchowski, Ben Joyce and Graeme Spencer. The club needs to recruit players and coaching staff of a high standard and experience and not gamble!

On a positive note, the french players seem really good and hope they continue to impress.

thank you Stags Fan.....me get upset,,,, you know me better than that....as for Oliver being inexperienced well....I wouldnt know where to start...... If he plays like an idiot I am the first to say so.. (you've heard me)...lol.
As some people are aware I travel all over to support my son play rugby, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and to nearly all the Super League Grounds.
Whne you are new to a team you need to learn how each player interacts and you need to know that you can trust your team mates, but if you don't get selected or given match time there isnt much you can do about it. Training sessions are not the same as matches.
And Young Jez has come a long way this season....to think that he is new to the game. There are some players on the team who are not playing at their best who are getting selected over others, they know who they are...
Yes Skolars do need an experienced coach, Callum did his best and Jermaine did well to take over the team but he doesnt have the know-how involved. We need to support Skolars until the end of the season and wait and see what happens next.
I will still continue to take photos and give unbiased posts. hehehehehehe
