That makes it 11 in a row!
Another very embarrassing result.
Skolars are averaging 63 points a game against them.
379 points in 6 league games.

Its all very good to have young promising players like Vine, Junor and Obuchowski coming through the ranks in the team but what good does it do for their confidence by being beaten every week and playing next to very average players?
Skolars made some very poor signings and I heard they are losing more players with the likes of Chapman and Ellison departing.
They need to act fast and get some decent players in soon!

On the plus side the reserve team was very entertaining today and I believe some of the first team players should be worried.Good performances from James Thompson, Dion Chapman(another youngster) and Rubert Jonker(coach)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that first win of the season but I just can't see it happening anytime soon.

Oh and by the way for those of you who would like to know, skolars average 8 points per game!

I have to agree with your post here mate.
Recruitment has been a massive let down and a huge reason why this team is not playing well.
In saying that, I dont know where they will get the players from because no-one wants to come and play for a team getting smashed by 70 point per game.

The young guys will never benefit from getting smashed and all their confidence will be shot.
If you want to throw boys in with men, you need to have the right men around to guide the young guys.
We are the laughing joke of the league and not the best way to go out for Gareth, Austin and maybe Cory who have all provided great service to the club over the years. They all deserve to go out better than the crap that is being dished out by their teammates.

The club needs a complete overall in coaching & recruitment. I personally would of pumped for Francis Maloney to have been coach. This guy has played at the top level, knows alot of people in the game, is very well respected and would be very simular to Latham.
Another option would be trying to get Mark Barnes over who was assitant coach of Hull KR and now is with West London Sharks.

All the best for the rest of the season. Would like to say a big thank you for the warm welcome we received on Saturday. Things will get better :D .

Its a bit of a shame to see Skolars doing so badly, because as has been said its great to see young southern lads getting plenty of gametime, and so many of them but a smattering of quality here and there would give a young team so much more.

Its a shame the Skolars are not having the best of times at the moment, considering they almost made the playoffs just 2 years ago.

:( It's a shame as I bet the Skolars have the highest percentage of local lads in the team of ANY Championship club.

It has been a gamble that has not paid off. Recruiting players from Conference league to play in Champ 1 is not a very bright start.
I reckon Smokie, Jars and Andre will become better players in time but in order to become a better player, you need the right players around you to learn from.
These type of seasons can wreak a player.
Skolars do not have that atm. They do not have the experience or talent to draw from to teach these young kids how to play semi-pro footy.

Mind you, those 3 boys are, I think- correct me if i am wrong, some of the first to come through from the Skolars juniors to play 1st team footy.

The club needs to start recruiting for next year in the next month or so to understand where they need to stregthen in their squad.
I reckon a complete over hual is needed. Big props, big centres and a good 5/8. I would also recruit a good lock and Fullback.

Will the dire season make the Friday night game a flop.

no doubt the club bank on this fixture for most of the income of the year.
