Is it true that Skolars can't get a team to play St Albans this weekend in the North London Cup ? And that they had to field a load of Hainault guys to make up the numbers last weekend ? If true, that does not bode well for the RLC Premier season. |

I would be surprised if Skolars see out the season. No club loyalty from players and vice versa for quite a few years. |

Apparently the game was called off earlier in the week. Not very impressive really. |

Don't know where you get you're information, but Skolars Premier fielded more than a full squad against Hainault. The only reason they can't field a squad against St.Albans is because they are playing Bedford this weekend!! Lets have some positive posts please not just the same old negativity regarding the Skolars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Lets have some positive posts please not just the same old negativity regarding the Skolars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You really are a dope. The original post dates back to late March when the Skolars failed to field a side in the North London Cup v St Albans having the previous week made up their side of mainly Hainault players v Hemel. Positive point - good to see they managed to get a side out at the weekend, no coincidence that their first team wasn't playing I guess. |

Only one of the first team squad of 33 (Paul Hyder) who is recovering from injury played in this game. The reserves fielded 20 players plus had 3 who were unable to play due to squad sizes being limited to 20 by the RLC. Skolars probably started a month late for reserves training and struggled for numbers for the pre-season games. Every club goes through periods where they struggle for numbers and I can recall times when most of the clubs north of the river have experienced difficulties. The reserves at Skolars are currently in great health, with a squad of 25+ players, a great coaching staffof Rubert Jonker and Mario Du Toit who are unable to play for the first team due to visa reasons but have chosen to stay at the Skolars. |
