Interesting to read some of the comments on the Warriors pages regarding the Challenge cup draw. Attendance size has been discussed with many suggesting only 4000 to 5000 will attend. None were sepcific as to say whether this was before the mass exodus before full time or otherwise. "It will be like a morgue" suggested one fan; well, no where Crusaders fans are concerned - we may be few but we are noisy! I am saddened that fans will not come out and support their SL team because they think it will be an easy tie.
There are also suggestions that the game could be played at Wrexham or Orrell. I am not sure why Orrell has been suggested but the Cup draw has given Wigan home advantage and the tie shouldnt be messed with, it will be a massive game for our newly formed team and a dream fixture for our players. Why would Warriors fans want to deny this to our lads.
Another suggestion is that Wigan put out their U18s team. I am sure our coaching team will only need to pin up these comments in the dressing room and no more motivation will be needed.

Crusaders am byth!

The venue can only be changed if there are issues with the ground.

To be fair why so many Challenge Cup games were moved to the "big" sides ground on the weekend is a joke when only 2 games in the whole round attracted more than 1,000 perhaps the RFL need to only allow in clubs who could stage a game against a Championship or Championship 1 club if they get that far or have provision to use a local club be it football or rugby who have the ability to host such a tie.

As for the Wigan game moving no chance and nor should it.

The amateur teams who played in round three only had ten days to organise the matches. I know that two of the Hull amateur teams were looking at a double header at the KC but the KC stadium management were lukewarm in their response and Craven Park was another non starter. The RFL actually encouraged the amateur teams to swith the games to the grounds of their professional opponents. If amateur teams are to be given a chance of hosting Challenge Cup games in their hometown/city then they need more than ten days to arrange them and a bit more encouragement from their local pro clubs and the RFL.
