Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you as we are holding an event that maybe of some interest to you. On 13th October 2012 we are holding a sportsmans dinner at the Rapid Solicitors stadium, Doncaster Road, Wakefield WF1 5EY. We are holding the event to fundraise for a charity called SANDS.SANDS are a charity that help parents and family members who suffer the lose of a baby or infant.We are want to hold the event as on Monday 29th August this year my wife gave birth to a stillborn daughter. SANDS as been there as help and support as no other couciling as been given since we lost Emily. It is now our turn to give them something back and have come up with the idea of this sportsmans dinner.
There are two things I would like to ask of you, firstly would you like to support the event in any way (raffle/auction prize, donation etc.) Obviously any support for the event will be repaid with free publicity at the event.
Also I would like to invite you, members of your family, your staff or business associates to attend the event. The event will comprise of a three course meal, DJ, charity auction, raffle, tombola, an appearance from at least one sports personality. All this for the price of just £30 per ticket.
I hope that you will assist us in supporting this event in some way.
