Mmm yeah. Er ... yay MM p i s s e d off from S Wales not long before CC p i s s e d off from S Wales. You thought the grass was greener and the cash more plentiful and dropped us faster than an English Goalkeeper. Thanks but no thanks. Surely there's a "heartlands" stadium that you would all prefer because it's within easy driving distance? Stay away thanks. We can do without the £3.50 that hosting your massive festival of "rugby" would bring in. |

Well the last MM was May 2008 if i remember and the Celtic Crusaders ceased last November, over a year later so I don't think the one had much bearing on the other directly. The way the event is packaged and promoted to the 'heartlands' fans, interested locals such as me and those who might give it go on the day needs to be looked at though and targeted better than it has previously, I stumbled upon it myself in 2007 otherwise wouldn't have known, don't expect any favours from the WRU despite the hefty milstone they have to pay off on the place . |

I'm not surprised poor Grendel feels bitter towards the Crusaders. He was always a big fan of the Celtic Crusaders in Bridgend... but sadly like so many other South Wales fans he got shafted when they upped sticks to Wrexham |

DAIHAPPY, No mate. I'm not Simon or wpfib, though I know them both. I support no rugby side of any code any more since the most recent Great Betrayal (though I wish the South Wales Scorps well). Now and again I just like to come on and poke old wounds. Ignoring me does not make me go away. and I do not give mythical creatures a bad name because 1) I am not a mythical creature. This is just a messageboard username 2) Grendel was a mythical troll. Given messageboard parlance, do you fail to see the connection? |

it would be good to see MM back in south wales! clearly brought more fans down here than up edinburgh. wembley got the Challenge cup and old trafford got SL grand final so why cant the Millennium stadium get the magic weekend? seems fair to me. |

well i for 1 will be well pleased if its back. i spent 2 great weekends there for MM. great venue, great stadium and great atmos in the surrounding pubs, totally agree it should be marketed more - i camped at a rugby union club in cardiff and talking to there players in the clubhouse, they knew nothing about it till the campers arrived. now if you are going to market the weekend to the local, then surely the local rugby clubs should be high on the list, |
