Hi We're on holiday down in Wales next week, near to Llandrindod Wells and saw you are playing at Neath's ground, now it's about 60 miles from where we are but we were thinking we might have a drive down to watch the game. It seems we'd go across the brecon beacons, just wondered if anyone knew what sort of route it was, decent roads etc. Cheers Trace |

I drive through that area pretty regularly. I would suggest A470 from Llandrindod towards Methyr via Brecon (lovely route through the Beacons). Then the A465 to Neath. The roads are a bit winding in places but the scenery is worth seeing. Have fun. |

Drive up through Mid Wales for all the home games and it's not the fastest road due to the bends but to be honest you do get some great scenery. |

Most people who go to watch the Scorpions tend to have a pint or two in the ground, also there's a wetherspoons about 10 minute walk away from the groud. |

If you're arriving off the train then the first port of call is the David Protheroe (Weatherspoons) right in front of the station. Failing that walk up the main high street opposite the market and turn 2nd right and you have the Greyhound though thats been shut the last couple of weeks. Failing that there Neath WMC round the corner from the ground and Kiwi's Bar heading Eastwards up from the Station on the same road which is a 'Rugby' friendly pub (both codes) and open on a Sunday. Can't say Neath is particularly 'buzzing' on a Sunday. Out of Interest Trog , is the Talbot Bar in Wrexham still going strong ? bought my first pint in there! |

Hey Rob. Thanks for all that. Re The Talbot, I don't know. The last few times I've been past it has been closed. I used to go there a lot in the late Eighties on a Sunday night to see Baby Blue. Were you there or is that before your time? |
