Evening folks, a couple of rumours around Widnes that we may have signed JJ on good Friday, can anyone confirm if this is true?

Not heard anything but wouldn't be at all surprised to be honest. He's played more for the Scorpions this season, and he's far too good to be playing CC1 regularly.

Wouldn't want to see him go, but it may be best for his career. Didn't he leave Wigan just after Noble took over too?

TRUE................gone on loan. Hoping to play for Widnes today but registration never got through in time. Correct what you said about same thing happening at Wigan when Nobby took over. I think he was the top try scorer in the forwards at the time, having played 7 games and scored 6 tries but Noble didn't see him as part of his plans.
He was always concerned that it would repeat itself at Crusaders and it's proved it's self to be true. Nobby obviously has his favourites and JJ's not on the list.
He's frustrated at being 18th man every week and not getting any game time, so when Widnes came calling he's taken the opportunity.Barring an injury crisis, I can't see him playing many more games for Crusaders this season.
He's obviously gutted after coming off such a high with Wales last season and really looking forward to playing with a more competitive team.
Personally I've got to say Crusaders loss............. Widnes's gain. He's never given anything less than 100% for whichever team he's played for. (Despite some of the comments posted on the Widnes fans forum when he left!).
He'll be back in Super League soon.

tbh were all glad to have him back, weve lost Pickersgill and Haggerty for the season so he is more than welcome. JJ was a good player last time around for us and will be again.

How long is his loan spell for mate?

Awesome, JJ has a big heart and is a quality player. Im sure he will enjoy his second spell at Widnes under Cullen.

Don't think you can do that with loan signings it is my understanding that after the initial month you have to make it a year long loan or cancel it, but this is Rugby League so they might have changed that rule.

I thought Anthony Blackwood had signed on a two month loan at Barrow, at the time, like you say, I thought players only usually did a month and it was unusual to see a deal done for two months.

He could sign on a season long loan but with a 48 hour recall clause in it.
