Instead of moving to Wrexham it would have been a better idea to move to Cardiff Blues old home by the Millenium Stadium and form Cardiff Crusaders, then a stadium and all round infrastructure would be availible for them would be availible and easily accesible for fans? Thoughts? |

Thoughts? Unfortunately the option was not available although they were approached. |

100% against calling them the Cardiff Crusaders, but I'd be delighted at playing in Cardiff. The club did approach them, but the wigs at Cardiff didn't want us there for two reasons - firstly, their hate of league and secondly, them not trusting Leighton Samuel and his financial situation. |

Would fighting directly against a big Union side and a well established Football team both with good finances in wealthy leagues be a good idea? |

For those who aren't aware.........Cardiff Arms Park is not owned by the rugby club but by Cardiff Athletic Club ( CAC ) The CAC has a number of sections ( Hockey, bowls, cricket ) and the rugby are another section and this set up dates back to the 19th Century Believe me, the people who run CAC, make Will Carlings' 57 old farts at the RFU look positively modern. Furthernore Cardiff Arms Park is beling lined up to be flogged off for millions to developers, making the individual sections very rich. This is why Cardiff Blues rugby union side have now left Cardiff Arms Park and ground-share with Cardiff City FC at their new stadium. |

Cardiff City Blue Dragons From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Logo of the Cardiff City Blue DragonsThe Cardiff City Blue Dragons were a rugby league team formed in 1981. Their home ground was Ninian Park which was also used by Cardiff City FC. The club spent three seasons in Cardiff before relocating to Bridgend in 1984 as the Bridgend Blue Dragons, who were finally wound up in 1986. The team colours were royal blue shirts with a yellow and white vee. The shorts and socks were also blue. history in reverse |

That would be just great for me personally which is why it will probably never happen. The CAC would rather their club be closed down then allow a rugby league side into their home. The fact that having just an semi pro RU side (Cardiff RFC) play out of the ground who attract possibly 1000 people and a few local amateur clubs /cup matches there once in a while , will not make the club viable as a business, but this fact seems to pass them by. |
