The fans tonight showed that they can rise above abuse and derision. Firstly over 5,500 fans there, the Beeb were so disappointed, they hoped the crowd would be minimal. The supporters cheered and chanted non stop, and the boys on the pirtch gave everything no dropping of heads. At the end the crowd stood and cheered both sides non stop. What does a score matter when you get such an atmosphere. The Leeds players got a shock running on to the pitch to home supporters cheering, but it was for the exiled 6 who have given great service to the club. Celtic came of age tonight, and I cannot remember such support for a team who are supposed to be a 'disgrace'. It is about time abusive so called fans stopped having a go at the Celtic

I think you'll find that people have issue with the RL and their one eyed approach to expansion at all costs. Celtic have clearly demonstrated what happens when you shoe horn a RL team into a Union stronghold and get them to Super League in the space of 3 seasons come hell or high water.

I think people are quite rightly angered when you look at the way this season has panned out. The fans of CC, the club itself and the game do not need this sort of bad press and poor judgement. The decision to admit CC to SL 2009 was wrong. It is now plain for all to see.

Had you developed over time before being awarded a license, you may have ended your first season with more credibility. As it happens the whole process was a shambles and you are the ones suffering the most.

Dont be proud mate be gutted that you showed 5000 fans how bad you are no way did more than 1500 hundred celtic fans pay full price to get in id say it was a fiver a ticket to any 1 in newport who wanted to watch the game or even given out free.if that be the case you will be getting into debt every week.i might be wrong not lol.i just wish it had been on tv but i have a laugh every week when i get results .i am not having a go at the fans even though it might seem like that.but you know your admin cheated and bent rules to get in super l i mean did u see clarky on boots and all class.you will go down only a matter of time.ps have a look to your left at that little pic o champions of the world still makes me shudder after 20 years we will be back.the mighty chemics

Vikings and yet you're STILL not in superleague.

Snot, yeah, thanks for your warm welcome into the superleague family. Your kindness and generosity of spirit has made our first year an absolute pleasure.

I have spent the best part of a year asking our Cardiff City following fans to lay off the anti-English chants. And with your welcoming encuraging nature, no doubt your plans to expand the game beyond a small industrial wasteland around the M62 is bound to succeed.

At least we have the opportunity to get beaten by the likes of Leeds.

Why is it that when something is posted on here with nothing whatsoever to do with Widnes you lot feel the need to comment on it. It mystifies me.
