Cardiff. Population around 320,000 Swansea. Population around 230,000 Bridgend. Population around 130,000 So why was Bridgend chosen as the nucleus for the next superleague club?? Was it cost?? Did the club get a big grant off the local authority to set up there? Had the people who set Celtic up done their homework and figured that a lot of the 130,000 people in the immediate area would turn up week in week out?? Was Bridgend formerly a big Rugby League hotspot?? Why on earth didnt they set Celtic Crusaders up in Cardiff or Swansea to start with?? |

Because the Bridgend area had been left without a Union side when the WRU closed the Celtic Warriors & the small fact that when we were set up Leighton Samuel owned the ground. |

That's half true. Bridgend still has its union side, Bridgend Ravens, it no longer has a Celtic / Magners league side. |

My mistake - I should have said "Top Flight Union Side" |

I was under the impression that Bridgend wasn't 'chosen' as Crusaders home – any more than, say, Wigan was 'chosen' as Wigan's home or Cronulla as Cronulla's home. |

Half price ale compared to up here, decent hotels, roast hogs, bar along the terrace you can rest your arm on & watch the game, and beautiful dirty ladies in cheap clubs for afters. Don't you bloody dare go anywhere else. |

I think I'd loose a kidney within a week... Seriously we had such a good time we're thinking of bringing a few to your last game Sept 5th. Is it at Bridgend or Newport ? |
