Saints fan with a message of apology to the young lad who I mistakenly gave the wrong away voucher to on Friday!

My son was unable to attend the game on Friday so I had a spare child ticket and I thought I was doing a really good deed when I approached a young lad, who was with his dad, and asked if he had a ticket for the game. When he said no, I duly handed over the next available voucher in my son's season ticket book. He was very grateful, as was his dad, and off I went over to the match.

Imagine my horror when I handed over the equivalent voucher in my adult season ticket book only to be told by the gateman that it was the wrong voucher! I'd completely forgotten that, because we didn't go to the last Saints' home game v Castleford that those vouchers didn't get used.

So to that young Celtic fan, I am truly sorry and all I can say in mitigation is that it was a genuine mistake. I felt really bad about it and still do.

You had good intentions at heart.

Easy mistake to make.
