i dont think any cas or yorkshire fans have a problem with the crusaders club,personally i believe gt has had some very bad advise from is agent emanuelle paladino over the whole saga and it has caused a snowball effect which has got out of hand and forced the issue with rfl fining the club for the actions of 20-30 teenagers, which imo is ridiculous and something that cant be policed and leaves sporting clubs in a very awkard position for the future has the precedent is now set.

are clubs going to gag supporters on arrival of games,abuse can be given to players in all forms at any level of sport it always has done and always will,is their any difference between a ref been called a cheating barsteward or james graham a ginger t0553r or dean widders fat,this is the annoying thing has any of these people come forward and said im been abused and this needs to stop, but then again not too many of them are trying to push a career in media are they.

You seem to be making the same mistakes as other people here. There is a huge difference between calling people names because they are fat/ginger/illegitimate etc. and making abusive comments which are racisit, sexist, or refering to a persons sexual preferences. You may not think it is different but the last few are actually illegal.

As for your last paragraph about it being just "terrace banter and not abuse", are you serious? Is that what you really think?

I agree some Saints fans did shout abuse at Barrie Mac but so did most other clubs.

Yes Barrie Mac did get that at most the grounds.

Barrie Mac, James Graham and w@nker referees are red herrings; homophobic abuse is now considered a hate crime - there is no such designation for one-eyed hard men, fat gingers or Ian Smith, so the club had a duty to come down on the perpertrators like a tonne of bricks; they chose not to, so the RFL came down on them. They got what they deserved; simples.

It worries me there seems to be so many people who believe that homophobic abuse is;

A) Acceptable outright,
B) Can be compared to jokes about hair colour etc.


My friend today tried to tell me that Gareth Thomas has no right to complain because he is "openly gay". It is like living in the dark ages at times.
