Disgusting seeing as the game wasnt even televised
So much for this 'sell out 12k' crowd eh?
Why so few people to see arguably the best team in England??

All of these things will make him a cultural icon when his visa runs out and he is sent the way of his great grandparents....alas, not in chains this time.

Because the game was held in Wrexham
And I was browsing through the posts on here that said that this one would be a 12k sell out

Firstly you shouldn't believe everything you read. The present capacity is less than 10,500 anyway.
Regarding the turn-out, I was expecting around 7,000 - 8,000 myself, so, yes I was a tad disappointed. I guess that the beautiful weekend weather didn't help matters. That afternoon the supermarkets did a roaring trade selling barbecue food etc. and on my way into town you could smell barbecue smoke in the air. I wouldn't be at all surprised if many people who had intended to pay on the day decided to chill out with a few beers in the garden.
Without wanting to make excuses, you have to remember that many Crusaders home fans are pretty new to rugby league, so the tradition of turning out come rain or shine etc. etc. hasn't taken a grip yet. With luck, the numbers should hover around the 7,000+ for the rest of the season.

But if the club can only get 6k for the visit of arguably one of the biggest names in British RL...a club who are currently top of SL... then how many will turn up for sides like Castleford??

New club= Smaller Fan base You will have to give the crusaders time to establish themselves in wrexham so they can increase their fanbase. To expect a team that is playing a sport that has never been professionally played in wrexham to have sellout games when it is still a predominantly a footballing area AND on the nicest weekend of the year is ludicrous. Give it time and the crusaders will start to attract new fans and grow in North Wales. Hate to use the old cliche But Rome wasn't built in a day

As has been mentioned, many Crusaders fans are new to the sport and as such are supporting their home team. So, whilst Wigan are a big team, the name doesn't mean a lot to many people new to the sport.

I would suggest that there are as yet undiscovered tribes in the Amazonian rainforest who know Wigan play Rugby league

How is politely pointing out that only 6 thousand people bothered turning up to a game (figures gained from the Superleague website) that by most accounts was going to be a sell out 'trolling'???
Oh.. it's one of these 'I have no case to argue so ill call him a troll' type of responses eh Traffy??
Anyone know how many of the 6k were Wigan fans?
