St Estève/XIII Catalan lose again, 23-18 at Villeneuve. Lézignan crash to their first defeat of the season going down 40-16 to ASC. Limoux cruised to a 54-12 win over Avignon and St Gaudens also go down hard, 50-10 losers at Pia.

I was at the carcassonne v Lezignan game today and it was an ok game, the final score showed how the canaries where on top from early on, Lezignan were struggling to get going until near the end.

Watched Villeneuve beat St Esteve XIII who had Bentley, Barthau, Gigot, Martins, Vaccari, Stacul & Simon all backing up from last nights game. They were out to a commanding 18-2 halftime lead & were looking to run away with the game. They were run over by a spirited Villeneuve in the 2nd half but didn't help themselves with costly errors & giving away silly penalties. Young Bartheau was again dangerous with ball in hand & the Bentley brothers certainly made their presence felt with both having strong games. Villeneuve were without Feather & Carrasco & then lost their inspirational captain Rinaldi just before the break. Next weeks bye for St Esteve has come at a good time for them as they picked up a few injuries today.
