How would you say a few years down the line the Catalans have influenced the LER's profile? Have you noticed an increase/decrease since their inclusion in SL? Has the comp been devalued since Toulouse left for English soil? |

Have you noticed an increase/decrease since their inclusion in SL? Has the comp been devalued since Toulouse left for English soil? I think there was an initial increase in interest, but that seems to have gone now. The Dragons have never come to terms with what UTC (as was) are actually for and the FFRXIII now seem to have a that argument facing them in the wider sense: just what are we doing with the LER? Toulouse pulling out wasn't the issue at that time. The bigger issue there was the financial implosion at Albi and Lyon-Villeurbanne being so bad that they asked to take a step down. So while for players at that level there are opportunities to play with TO or the Dragons, there's some bigger questions to be asked about where we take the league in future. And they're not questions I have ready answers for. |
