34-18 to Villeneuve

Avignon and St Gaudens battled out a 28-28 draw as well, apparently. That takes St Go off the bottom.

What is the solution for UTC? Is the coach not up to it? Should we de-register players from the Catalans side, since it effectively limits their chances at gametime with both squads? Or is the UTC side just not that good? Is our Catalans squad contingent not a match for the etrangers contingent of other LER sides? Are we in a development phase?

Not making the LER playoffs ... unthinkable.

Young pair of half-backs - David Guasch and William Barthau - were given the responsibility of pushing the side around the park. Perhaps their inexperience has been found out, but hopefully it'll serve them well in the long term.

I've mentioned before that with the team changing nearly every week with Dragons coming & going, it is hard for the team to gel & get some sort of cohesion & stability going. Watched them at Villeneuve with 5 Dragons & they looked very disorganised for most of the game despite leading at the break?

Yes, was very impressed with young Bathau with ball in hand, setting up all 3 tries. Needs to work on his defence but shouldn't be long before he cracks it in the first team
