The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that Bird's management has been in discussions with the Super League club, in a bid to gain a backdoor entry to the competition. The move is intended for Bird to bypass visa restrictions that have blocked him from entering the UK and taking up a three-year deal with English Super League club Bradford. Catalans officials have confirmed their interest in Bird after manager Chris Orr contacted the Perpignan-based club last Friday |

Do you need him. Which player do you need to cut to keep you under the salary cap. No NRL player ever comes cheap. Anyway, think that having one EU member visa application refused because of his adverse behaviour really can not see another member country granting him entry. From my knowledge of the UK entry regs. would suggest he will already be on the 'refused visa/entry' data base. Thus he would be a bit of a lame duck 'home alone' team member. While I know that France often likes to 'thumb it's nose' at EU regs and even more when it involves the 'traditional' foe across the channel!! In addition can not see the RFL-SuperLeague allowing Bird's registeration as a comp. player. |

Neither wanted, needed, or able to be fitted onto the quota. Don't rate the lad anyway |

Signed for Bayonne in the other game anyway, so that's an end to that. If it's Antipodean back rowers who are currently wasting their time in jeu a quinze in France, then there's only one that I'd give house room to and it ain't Greg Bird. |

We don't need another forward, we definately don't need that one. It is possible that it is a plan to sign him and then sell him immediately once he is playing in the SL - some loophole for Bradford. |
