Okay I know I said I wouldn't be back - I'll be off again after this. I think that the Hudds match was excellent, those fringe players finally got a shot, which they should have had a year ago. The big question is why did they not seize their chance when handed to them? My thinking is that all those fringe players knew that no matter what they did they would be out as soon as the chosen 17 got back. For mine, I STILL BLAME WALTERS. Had Bartheau, A. Bently et al been rotated into the squad last year they would have been far better prepared to make the step up this year. There were clear games to target last year - Salford and Crusaders at home for example - which would have been a good time to play our fringe players. As to our squad, I agree with Guash that the last thing we need is a new foreigner. What we need is to develop one of our fringe players into another Ferriol or Pelo. For that, though, Walters actually has to play them!
