What league you going to be playing in, will there be enough interest for the NWC to run a winter league again?

heard Irlam are moving to the summer league.

in relation to the NWC winter i've been told that consideration is being given to any clubs wishing to play winter go to the pennine league.

Dalton supposedly applied to Pennine but rejected (according to totalrl forums) and when Rylands came to ours they said they were staying summer (although they could field a winter team too). Widnes Tigers going well in summer so will they try and run in winter too? Other than Golbourne, who else might play?

Are the leagues going to allow teams to delay their kick offs to accommodate this due to the overlap? Otherwise what happens in March 2014 when the Summer league season starts but you are getting to the business end of the Winter season?

Dalton were apparently rejected on geographical grounds. This probably wouldn't be a problem for teams like Irlam and Golbourne

nwc winter league think there are about 13 teams this year, but we will have to wait and see.if we join summer league we will have to go into division 1 or 2 ,i,ve watched alot of our lads playing for summer teams in 3/4 division and my gran could play that standrd of rugby league its mickey poor.don,t know if its down to poor coaching or lads just wanting to have a laugh and a kick about.

I agree irlam would need to go in to div 1 or 2 otherwise it would make a bit of a mockery of it, we've seen it this season with Rylands playing in Div 5! By the way was that a little dig at bury?

 Haha probably!

Must be nice to run a club in an area where you can trip over ex-Salford Academy players in any pub and RL lads are a dime a dozen.

Bit different when there's only a handful of RL lads in the area and the majority are originally footballers or RU and very raw. Easy to take the p/ss but we're running 2 open age squads and several levels of youth teams. Not bad for being mickey poor.

Oh shed222, if your gran wants a run send her down. We're not snobbish, we'll give anyone a go. :)

I agree, Irlam would have to be Div 1 or 2, and Rylands in Div 5 is ridiculous and does no-one any good.

Going to throw my tuppence worth in on this. Firstly 'shed 222' belittling teams in division 3 and 4 is hugely disrespectful and unwarranted. Secondly, I played against Irlam in a depleted Tigers side last season and IMO you aren't all that. Some big strong lads in the back row but not a patch on the Dalton or Golborne sides we also played. I will also say having cheap digs at sides like Bury who play outside of a traditional rugby league area yet makin huge strides is bang out of order and if I were a member of your committee is be appalled at the drivel you are putting into the public domain.

Enjoy your season on the mud filled plains of the North West and lets hope your steroid suppliers don't increase their prices too much ;)
