Nobody seems to have started one for our division this year so thought I'd try and get the ball rolling.

Somewhere to get the results posted and have some decent banter over the season.

Hindpool 64 - 0 Cadishead.

A good result for us and feels good to be back playing. Was a really pleasing performance with it being our first run out after having very little opportunity to do any match related training over the winter months (as I would imagine is the same for most).

Credit to Cadishead, the majority of them seemed to be very young but they never once through in the towel and kept going to the end.

Hope the injury to your number 4 at the end wasn't anything too serious?

A big test for us this weekend away to Bamber Bridge, who we had 2 very good games against last year.

At least you know we will play.
Hopefully this season will be better than last year with only 2 'A' teams

Bamber Bridge 42 - 14 Hindpool

A real wake up call for our lads this week. Came up against a big and powerful team who will be really tough to beat this season especially at home. We started slowly and soon found ourselves 18-0 down in no time at all which was always going to be a big ask to claw back.

After our slow start we pretty much matched them for the rest of the half going in 28-14 down. Started the 2nd half as we finished the first and matched them again for around 25 mins until they ran in 3 converted scores at the end to give the score a lob sided look.

Back to the drawing board for us ready for another away trip to Portico Vine this weekend. Don't really know much about them and will be good to play against some new faces.

wildboars 12-12 bamber bridge probaly a fair result in the end,a bit of a scrappy game not helped by the ref who lost hos voice so had to keep blowing his whistle when every a tackle was made to clear the ruck so both teams couldnt get in any rytham, tough place to go and conditions wasnt the best,be happy when the clocks go back so can get some ball in had as hardly done any ball owrk but our defence is very strong at the min which is pleasing

A bit late but not been able to get online through the week.

From last weekend - Portico Vine 32 - 22 Hindpool.

Definitely a game of 2 halves and yet again we started far too slowly and soon found ourselves 26-0 down at half time. Portico were another big team and we didn't deal with their threat at all in the first half. We were playing some good rugby but our defence was woeful and we weren't helped with the pitch being like a swamp at one end.

2nd half was a whole lot better and again we showed what we are really capable of when we muck in together and work. Won the 2nd half 22-6 and could have been a completely different story without our 2 disallowed try's. Good game all round but we need to stop letting teams get so far infront and try playing catch up if we are to compete again this year.

This weeks game vs Culcheth Eagles is OFF due to the weather. Their bus company weren't prepared to travel with the conditions, which is definitely understandable and our pitch was in no fit state to play anyway. Gives us a 2 week break now to get our act together and push on from here.
