It was such a shame to see Simmies have to concede the game to us on Saturday, but they felt the players they had available would not of competed, with this decision in mind they have almost certainly destined themselves to relegation unless of course other teams concede games throughout the season. I hope they can get things back as we have enjoyed our rivalry with them over the past few years and they Prem will not be the same without these fixtures. |

History is history pal. Why should simmies be a premiership side. Perhaps it's time for some other teams to have a go in the top flight. Simmies have survived for years with no kids teams and have poached other teams players. Perhaps they should regroup and put the effort into starting a junior section like the rest of us. |

I agree totally that's the rule and it is important that teams fulfill their fixtures, I haven't said they should be there above any other team just that it is a shame to see that happen to them. I do agree with your comments about them trying to sustain their club without juniors etc but couldn't comment on them poaching players at the end of the day it is open age rugby and the players are adults and have the right to play where they want, we have had several players go to Leigh East over the years but that's there prerogative if a player wants to play somewhere else let them do so, especially if the standard is more suited to their ability. |
