7 lads at our first training session last night. Seems to be more apathy than excitement but we'll see...

was similar with us...had 10, max 12 over recent weeks but picked up this week to 17 last night and 20/21 different people across the two nights this week. some lads have said that it's been tough playing winter, summer, winter back to back.

Chester 36 - 16 Bury (I think)

Gave a penalty 10 metres out on the very first tackle and conceded straight away - not a good start! Was fairly even for the next 40 or so though we let Chester in once or twice. After half time we fell apart a little and conceded a few on the bounce but then muscled up again for last quarter, scoring a beauty at the last minute.

Pleased with the performance today against a MUCH bigger Chester side. Travelled with no props and 3 lads on debut, with lads filling in all over the place and the smallest team we've probably ever fielded! Chester were unspectacular but effective and we couldn't organise ourselves at times, with some stupid errors. Very enjoyable game and a fair result, Chester are a good bunch and played in great spirit.

We had to admit defeat and concede our first game after only having 9 lads available to play against Folly Lane A.

We shall regroup at training this week and hope to start our season at Chester this weekend.

Not a bad result for Bolton really considering it was probably a brand new team
