There is a post on www.totalrl.com with the line ups for the premier and merit leagues. Pretty sure it said Accrington and Leyland were merit league and Blackpool Sea Eagles are Premier but I could be wrong. Can't wait for it to get going now, c'mon Mancunians

Depends really, last year Ashton Bears 'A' in the merit convincingly beat Blackpool SE from the regional (might have won it but not sure) and we went on to beat East Lancs Vikings in the merit league play-off final and the Vikings are in this years prem. Last year they were a good outfit and should go well this season.

Ashton have entered a 'B' team in this years merit and it will be based around its 17's side with a few lads from its NWC 'A' team and a couple of old & new faces from other clubs. In terms of establishing a new team the merit league is good.

Blackpool Sea Eagles have been the whipping boys every year they have entered. As for Leyland - they aren't in the merit league, the list clearly shows they are in the premier comp. Numbers look good, but ive got a funny feeling some of these teams wont start the season. West Bank will win it again.

Accrington/Leyland are combining for this summer and running one side in Prem and one in Merit. Imagine most of Leyland will be in the Prem side...
