After far too long without games...
Bolton Mets V Hindley Chorley Panthers V Waterhead Westhoughton Lions V Bury Broncos St Helens Wild Boars V Eccleston Lions Wigan Bulldogs V Newton Storm Rochdale were at Blackburn who've folded.
Think Hindley, Waterhead and Wild Boars should win fairly comfortably, Wigan v Newton is a close one but reckon Newton will just edge it. Bury for the win of course!

Westhoughton Lions 6 - 11 Bury Broncos
Thought we dominated physically and should have won by a couple more tries - we were held up twice over the line (one of which DID touch down!). Fair play to Westhoughton, they kept coming back for more while we put quite a few huge hits in, and they weren't afraid to throw it about. Unfortunately our own errors: dropped ball, penalties, forward passes, etc, kept us pinned back for long periods but defence saw us through. Very close till the last few minutes when we dropped a goal and pinched a try with 5 to go. Good enjoyable game and a good bunch at Westhoughton who never stopped even with a few missing.

Definately 11 - 6 to Bury although there was some confusion (our coach though it was 9 - 6 until i reminded him of our penalty). Ref left with the form so i'm assuming it was phoned in wrong...
some of our players were celebrating far too much when the last try was scored. 5 points was barely better than the 1 point lead we had (though we'd obviously take it!!!)...there was still time for Westhoughton to come back and we needed to defend!
