Can anyone let me know what the hell is going on with this division?

Last year we started the season with only 8 teams and ended it with only 6.

This year according to the Yorkshire League Website there is only going to be 5 teams starting the season.

How can you run a league where you will only end up playing a total of 8 league games over an entire season lasting approx. 8 months.

And what are the commitee doing to ensure that the likes of Fryston and Upton fulfill their fixtures?

they have to pay a bond to be paid if they forfeit. If they fold any outstanding fines, league fees etc will prevent registration of players with new teams. Not ideal but what would you suggest?

So what’s the craic then with the coming seasons Yorkshire League?? No updates on their website regarding new teams, leagues or just news in general. Infact compared to Peninne League website. It all looks a bit p/ss poor tbh.

Its obvious from spending 10mins on the Peninne Website. They are proud of the product they have got.

Its all very clear who is getting promoted and relegated from each division. Including a summery of League Champions and Runners up.

chaka, thats because the pennine league is a well run outfit not some tom noddy competion that is more bothered about trying to claw back ex members one way or another (white rose league) or by deluding themselves that some of their teams have no disciplinary problems whatsoever  :D

Leagues and fixtures are up on the website.

http://www.yorkshirearl.co.uk/table.php

I'll give it the usual 6wks into the season before the 'big shuffle'

The Hunslet Warriors injury permitting will dominate that division and the Cutsyke one should be tasty after the events in the Cup Final vs Queens at Lock Lane last season...

I watched the Queens vs warriors final. Why will it be tasty with Cutsyke then?
