The Wigan Riversiders RLC are on the look out for new players who are keen to get away from the cold winter rugby and join Wigans summer amateur rugby league side.
After the success of the debut season in 2008 the Riversiders have stepped up from the Merit League into the newly formed Northern Rugby League Conference Premier Division which includes teams such as Blackpool Sea Eagles, Widnes Saints, Lymm and Barrow. They will also be running a second team who will compete in the North West Merit League. Of course running 2 teams requires us to look recruit more players.
The Wigan Riversiders RLC 2009 Training will commence at 8PM Wednesday the 14th January at STANDISH HIGH SCHOOL and will continue each wednesday until further notice.
We are looking for players no matter what standard you can be assured of a warm welcome from the lads.
