I know the league asked clubs to inspect and call it at 10.00, but I'm sure it would have been soft enough to play on by 2.30, there's plenty of sun and it's about 4°C. Fooking joke mate, frozen pitch?? Of course it will be frozen, its 10am in the morning! Come lunchtime no sign of frost. I played Union instead, won 45-5, ON THE SAME PITCH. No issues watsoever on either pitch though. P*ssed me right off. Its rugby league, not ballet!

Crazy innit. Far too early to call it in mid-Feb, it doesn't start thawing until gone 11, and an hour or two of sun and it's fine. Every forecast I saw said sun and temps up to 4°C, easily enough to thaw any frost and play on. Maddening.
We (Bury) met up and played a game between ourselves, ground was fine, no frost, nothing.
