I'm lead to believe that in his eagerness to see his first live match for several weeks he showed a fine turn of pace dashing from the coach park at the LSV to the turnstiles tonight. If it hadn't been for the tailbacks & jams on the motorways en-route and the ensuing arrival at the ground approximately 30 mins into the match this great sporting incident may never have occurred, but, as I understand, women, children and aqua-planing the puddles couldn't prevent our man from his accomplishing his mission. It is believed that LSV stadium CCTV coverage of this fine sporting moment may be distributed onto the intanet by the time he's joined the pie queue at half time, that is in fact if he's caught his breath in time. Apparently, SKY tv are requesting a big screen replay and are hoping to show it on this coming week's "wellington boots, umbrella's and raincoats and all that" edition. Word reaching us in Halifax is that the big man isn't prepared to take such a risk of missing his fill of real ale in the three Pigs outside the Shay stadium for Fev's next jolly jaunt on thursday evening, by cutting his losses and setting off at breakfast time on the day of the match. Rumours are already hitting RL messageboards that Huddersfield Ginger Giants are in negotiations with Mark Campbell regarding a swap deal with Tonka until the end of the season. This news is sure to run, and run, and walk a bit, run a bit more, bend over and catch a breath or two, you get the picture...... See ya thursday matey. |
