I have no angst with Wakey as a club and/or the vast majority of their supporters. This one enjoys seeing his words on the forum and enjoys the kick-back he gets. I wasn't aware he'd been trolling other clubs boards too. Ah well, attention seeking disorders can be treated successfully nowadays!!
I don't really want to see any club excluded from Sl, and as you know my position viz:- P+R, it would be hypocritcal of me to advocate for that very proposition. Fairness and equality is all I ask on that subject.
Been nice to have seen you in the new year for a friendly. Not to be. Not be long til we're underway owd cock!!
It looks like your the one doing Fev fans a disservice on here. Posting the old "reliable source" routine about Wakey getting kicked out. how would someone like yourself be privvy to such information regarding a decision that is to be made in 18 months time?
The one thing for certain that I can say on the next round of franchises is that Fev will not be one of them.

i believe that to be the case too. You don't know me, so why would you know how or what info i might be privvy to? I believe wakey will not be offered a licence next time round and have reason to belive that as i things stand. You believe otherwise. C'est la vie. I really don't give a toss how or what you think, and i belive the feelin is reciprocal. As i said earlier, we'll see!

deeHell if your new ground isnt built who do you think will be removed from S/L
I hope the new stadium is built just like the one we are hoping to build at Featherstone and one day all the 3 local teams are in S/L playing at the highest level. It is obvious that Widnes WILL be inS/L next time round and Halifax are knocking on the door so someone has to go or maybe 2 teams if the RFL have the balls to do it if its not you then who ?
Good luck for this season and lets hope that some bricks are layed and this is not more broken promises

Could you please explain to me by voicing my opinions on here am I doing Wakefield and my fellow Wakefield supporters an injustice?
I have no wish for my club [ Leigh ] to get into SL in 2 years time , we are nowhere near ready , and to get stuck at the bottom of SL getting hammered every week would see the end of the club , for us to get into SL we need to be as strong fan wise as at least Widnes but nearer Cas when they were in NL 1 , wakey along with most other SL clubs are losing hundreds of thousands if not millions per season , you can keep it for the moment
However for you to suggest that Barrow are more ready than Widnes just because they put together a good squad last season tells me all i need to know about your non SL club knowledge , I dont think Fev are or will be ready for a long time either
You suggest Barrow because they won the GF last season , well if you want to change the RFL's policy on SL entry back to P and R every season , I dont think you will find many outside SL disagreeing with you , but somehow I dont think you will find many IN SL agreeing with you , why would that be , do you think ?
Wakey are on borrowed time , if they dont sort out the stadium they will be dropping out sooner or later , and believe me , once you're out , its a hell of a lot harder to get back in with franchising

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

no sour grapes. Why would you think that? I have no angst with the wakey club all. Read ALL of my posts! But as starbug suggests, until that nice drawing of a stadium becomes something more that some pr exercise, wakey remain in the brown stuff! That's not sour grapes. It's my take on the issue. If you don't agree fair do's. I really don't care either way. We'll see things differently. The rfl will prove one way or another if you're right or not..

In my book constantly predicting doom for a particular club, just a little too much for it to be purely indifferent, is a case for suspicion of sour grapes. Surely as a fan of the game, rather than a person with another agenda, you would wish us luck in our bid for SL. I certainly hope Cas get their ground, whether we do or not.
Anyway not that it matters, as you say, we'll wait to hear from the RFL/Rodney Walker and then (touch wood) I will be proved right.

I wish all clubs success and wish there was free movement between the divisions so that the entire game can have an opportunity to play at the highest level. As stated many times, I have no angst with Wakey, and if you get a new stadium, I wish you well, and that's regardless of Fev's position. Just as I do Leigh and Widnes et al. However, it is my opinion based on info given to me, that it won't happen and given Wakey's proposals, failed promises and woeful attempts at upgrading their facilities over the last 10 years, it's an opinion that I'm fairly entrenched in. This isn't sour grapes, it's an opinion. One that some Wakey fans don't want to hear and one that will attract an opposing point of view. I will live with that. Time will tell etc.

As a passionate believer in P/R I do firmly believe that Barrow should have the option of promotion. If they don't feel they are ready then they could pass the opportunity over to the runners up. Whether anyone in SL agrees with me or not is irrelevant. As per usual everyone will act of their own self interests, that's just human nature.
Wakey are on no more borrowed time than Cas or Salford. Where probably more safer than them 2 teams on the current franchise scoring system due to our our average finishing position been higher. We are certainly more secure than that shambles outfit playing out off Wrexham.

I actually agree with most of that post! Salfords geography gives them a few points ahead of Wakey/Cas. In my opinion, Wakey's current dilapidated stadium is the worst of the 3 and thus puts them favs for exclusion. Would that be right??? No it wouldn't, but this is the RFL we're on about. Your point about P+R is exactly the point I've been banging on about for years. Any club winning the right for promotion to SL needn't take it if they're not ready and perhaps a cash reward to re-inforce their case at a later stage, should they win it again, would be a viable alternative. e.g. If Fev won this years GF, we're nowhere near ready. Accept say 100k, and build the business profile and infra-structure of the club. Try again the following year. Does that not make sense?? Your point about Wrexham - well, what can I say?? Shambles, the whole sorry story. But again, the RFL's ineptitude shines right through. You asked in an earlier post if I was bitter? Yes I am! Not with Wakey, but the RFL/SL and the whole sorry mess that twit and tw@ have made of our game.
