The latest news about the Pinewood Studios turning my novel 'One Winter' into a film is that there is no news. They have now had a copy over two and a half years although that is not a long time in the film world. Similarly Mickey Rourke has not yet turned up in Huddersfield to watch his first live game and collect my four novels (more details below) to give to his scriptwriters in California. Despite all that I will be back in the WH Smith store in Pontefract this coming Wednesday (June 30th) from 10 onwards signing copies of One Winter and One Autumn (that's the one with Ferrybridge Power Station on the front cover). However if you don't do novels but are looking for something about rugby league history, I will also have four recently published books that may interest you. They are Best In The Northern Union (1910 Lions Tour), The Indomitables (1946 Lions Tour), Snuff Out The Moon (history of floodlit rugby) and We'll Support You Evermore (Little stories from fans on why they love the game). They are all available in the club shop too.
Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."

Pinewood Studios are not a production company you need to send it to a company called Working Title or Left Bank Pictures or someone like that. You can find out the production companies names from British Film Board or BAFTA but be quick as the Tory/Lib Dem tossers have just withdrawn funding for the BFB in their cut backs. The other way is to try and get a director interested who carries some clout. Good luck.
