Defence!
We have one.
That's a decent performance.
First game we've won without Abdull.
The league usually levels out after about seven rounds, not saying we should be top three, but we do need to now aim for a home play off.
Until we get to June when we never win...
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

6 wins in a row. I think that might be a SL first for Rovers.
Torn between tamping down the hope and fighting the melancholy of supporting an ‘other team’ in 21st century England’s sporting backrooms.
Nice to see the club saying no to diffidence. I mean, I know the squad is better and likely more expensive than for a while. But, for however long it lasts, this simple focus on winning is so lovely. No other point to prove or personal agenda to fulfil, just a team trying (and often succeeding!) to win.

We rule supreme. Lewis and Jez were simply outstanding, amongst (as ever) the whole team performance. The standard set by Willie is not only being matched week in, but seemingly nudging higher. Batch and esp Opi have been diamond signings and transformed our leaky right edge. I’m only happy when it rains…

Apart from Wakefield, but they’re hot trash, so not important

That was one if The Skein's "facts", they have been dispatched, my gratitude at your correction.

As Willie Peters has said belief is the key and that goes for everyone, staff, players and fans. If you don't believe then the opposition will sniff that out.

Don't think you are quite there yet.
I have reflected on this, and the honest answer is that I’m not. I wanted to wait until the team got a win under their belts to check. I’m already riling myself up about the bad luck or injustice we’ll suffer in losing the semi-final, or the sense of trepidation I’d feel about facing Saints in the final… with all the attendant narrative about James Roby’s last season or what an exciting prospect Jack Welsby is. Yuck.
Optimism or pessimism - we all need a coping mechanism!

Bongser hopes that you get to the final, MR. After work, your correspondent often shares a pint or few with an exiled lad from East Hull (Paul) who has joined his fellow toper at LSV on a number of occasions.
Need to point out that it might not necessarily be Saints that you meet at Wembley - gloves of in that instance!

I’m rarely able to attend games home or away, unfortunately. I’m travelling from Fife to the midlands on Friday, so I have a good excuse on this occasion.
Must try to get to a game at some point but I’m already thinking 2024. I’ll perhaps buy some merch in the meantime.
Best of luck for the rest of the season after Friday!

I'm bobbing over, quite like the LSV. Not keen on Leigh as a team, I have childhood trauma memories of Des Drummond in his Mitre boots rampaging down the wing at old CP. Hugely impressed with them this season, they must be the best team to come up since that 'Fax side in the eighties. Don't fancy us tonight, we really need our pack to get on top from the off but I just have a bad feeling about this.

This evening, we're not very good.
