If it is a choice between younger players not yet in their prime and looking for an opportunity, players whose peak isn’t quite good enough for the NRL and don’t want to be playing reserve grade at 26, and veterans past their best, I think we need to be looking the first two more than the last, to fill our open spots. SKD, KL, LC and Ryan Hall give us plenty of experience already.
I don’t know what the eligibility criteria are like now though, for players without much NRL experience. I don’t know whether Kolpak is still a thing post-Brexit. Lovodua hadn’t played first grade before joining Hull (according to Wikipedia), so maybe it is.
