Post subject:  5 games on the trot
Can anybody remember the last time we won 5 on the trot and what was the most on the trot and when was it back in the good all days ?

Most ever in a row was the 2006 promotion season iirc. 16 from the start of the season. Equalled the record from 1984-85, I think.

I don’t know if my mind is playing tricks with me but did we not in the good old days once play and win 24 games and it was for the players a rolling bounus the more they won the more they got I think it was back in the 80s

We did have a 24 game winning streak… in 2006. I don’t know why I didn’t think to check my well-thumbed copy of The Robins. I forgot we had early season games in the Northern Rail cup, which are not included in the Sky list. I remember there being talk of overtaking the previous record but can’t recall what it was.
