2022 Betfred Challenge Cup Semi Finals Draw





The draw for the semi-finals of the 2022 Betfred Challenge Cup was made at half time during the Wakefield versus Wigan game to decide how the teams would line up for the Elland Road double-header on the 7th May. One of todays sides would be joining Hull KR, St Helens and the Huddersfield Giants in the semi-final draw, the other three hoping that they would avoid the seemingly unbeatable St Helens in the draw.

The balls were draw by Andrew Henderson and Kevin Brown.

Both games will be shown live on the BBC.

Yeah, I've got real mixed feelings about this. I think both teams will be happy with the draw and fancy their chances, but the prospect of a repeat of 2015 is not attractive in any way shape or form.

A shot at partial redemption, I suppose. Scoring a try at least. Not that I’d take it for granted.

Hudds are a good team though, so we don’t have to worry about appropriately balancing those hopes and fears yet.

As long as nobody talks about ‘making sure we enjoy the day’ if we do make the final.

Goodness, we're having a thread, a conversation, we've risen from the dead.
I certainly didn't enjoy the day, it was my least enjoyable RL day since May 1996.
I had to go out for a very expensive meal afterwords to soothe my fettered mind.
Huddersfield are a good side, well coached and stick to a game plan.
It's got good / horrible game written all over it.
