Who to keep, who to let go? Big question....Don't like dissing any player that plays a hard game that I could never do, but some have not contributed anywhere near enough, and if better is available it's time for some to be moved on.
Ones to keep, number one...Tony Smith (Leeds can do one) but that's his choice, hope he stays, but money does talk. Others who have shown their worth to the cause..SKD, Matt Parcell, Elliot Minchella, Dean Hadley, Kane Linnett, Ben Crooks, probably Sam Wood, maybe Will Maher 60/40 on that, probably Will Tate, can't comment on the other young ones as not seen enough to form an opinion.
As for the others, age, injury, and lack of impact has to affect any decision, especially if better options would come to us, but we must have size in the forwards to stop the team getting battered like they used to.
Maybe I've missed one or two, but would be disappointed in any I've named either choose to leave, or are not given an extended contract.
The ones mentioned are coming to the end of their contracts, so haven't mentioned anyone with a bit left to go.
Clever and sensible recruitment needed, here's hoping.
PS... Thought I'd throw this one in and nothing seems to be happening on here now.

Not to worried about next season, more worried about this one.
Seen all teams play on his season and bit concerned were our next win is coming.
This weekend game will show were our commitment is.
Ps ,were are all the regular contributors gone, things very quiet.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the shape of the squad. There’ll be some changes, because there always, but I don’t think they have to be wholesale. Hopefully the days of ~10 in and ~10 every season or two are over, and 2021 will be the basis for stability (at least) and further progress (it feels more possible than for a while).

I guess the big open question is around the head coach. Smith seems to thrive on new challenges. He’s already met a first batch at Rovers. He’ll have done 3 and a half seasons at the end of this one… will there be something new to excite him? If we come in somewhere between 5th and 9th this year, and a realistic goal is broadly the same in 2023, I wonder if it might already feel like the job is done for him.
