I see that the Daily Fail says that Dull FC have a "tricky tie" in the cup, they got Featherstone, one of the non SL teams. We get Cas, no mention of ours. I suppose at least it's at home, whether that makes any difference at the moment. I had a tricky tie once, bought by my Gran in the seventies, lots of multi-colours and swirls, very Disco style.
As for the game, start playing smart, and please please please, start winning. Enough of this gallant losers rubbish!

I think Radders was concerned about Bens defence, and this probably led to his leaving us.

But sometimes I think these edge defenders get the brunt of criticism due to the systems their coaches operate, the back rowers of old use to come across and help with edge defending, now they are tied up down the middle carting the ball up as extra props.

Wingers and centres seem to jump the line more, to cut out overlapping, but if they get it wrong it’s a walk in. I’m no expert but I would imagine especially in teams which are struggling, it must be really difficult for outside backs to hold their line.

I always thought Ben was one for the future, he was looking a fine prospect. Hope he does well.

Just hope that your light at the end of the tunnel is not an express train heading full speed our way. For the first half I thought it was a repeat of last year? How many times did we still have players on the ground after a tackle & I think we were lucky not to be penalised off the park as we were offside a lot.
Having said all that the fight back in the second half showed some grit & fight. At the end I was frustrated that we get nothing out of that & it has confirmed my dislike of golden point. Having clawed their way back to level why should any team get another ten minutes to either win or loose a game? The winner has 100% win ratio but had a second chance to do it I doesn’t sit right with me.

All cup ties are tricky if a team thinks it is going to be a cake walk. If I remember correctly the last time Hull played Featherstone in the cup, they were more interested in crocking Hull players than playing a game of rugby.
