Well, someone has to start the conversation. Neil is leaving the Robins after 16 years in charge. I for one thank him for his time, effort, financial support and commitment to our cause over the years. Without him, and others who have contributed , where would we be? No doubt the trolls will have the usual comments, but they should be ignored. Neil is a supporter of our great club and we should wish him well. It is a great burden to be in charge, and make multiple decisions that affect peoples livelihoods. He has contributed massively financially and personally, and we can only hope that a new owner is found to continue his legacy of a well run, well supported Super League club with a very loyal fan base. Thank you Neil and good luck. RRTR.

He’s done a great job over the last 16 years and deserves immense gratitude, as he puts down the burden.
His statement ends on slightly regretful note which it shouldn’t imo. You can’t have any regrets if you give your all, and he did - with some great moments along the way.
The future is uncertain now, and some thoughts need to given to contingencies and trying to manage a soft landing. But that can wait a little while, I reckon. For now, thanks for all the good memories!

Didn't believe this when told last night. First thoughts are just gratitude for the man and what he has given in cash time and love for our club. Now rumours the Allams going to buy us and whilst this will concern many who support Tigers as well as Rovers i think it could be a decent thing? Their wealth whilst immense in our terms isn't much in Soccer terms. So could really inject some funds into us and rumours of other big projects? More to come on this it seems but not panicking just yet.

I suspect the Allams thing is more likely a 'what if' snowballing into rumour.
My guess, and it is no more than that, is that it is exactly what it looks like.
While a white knight might emerge, it is far from guaranteed or maybe even likely.
Over the coming days and weeks we might have to give some thought as to priorities at the most fundamental levels. This day was always coming - fair play to NH, he gave clear notice of his intent more than 7 years ago. To keep going all this time since must have been really tough in a lot of ways.

He certainly gave KR his all, and I am unsure him stepping down as Chair means he is stepping away from the financial support etc. I dislike him because of his business antics, but nobody can ever criticise his love for your club. He will be very hard to replace.

The game is in shambles and I can understand him walking away. He won’t be the last and what the game will look like in two years time is anyone’s guess. I would still like to thank Neil for the memories. 50-0 at Wembley and the million pound game are may favorites.
