Ower forward pack needs beefing up fast ... last week when Mose and Mitch where on together we got some real go forward thats what needs to happen have them two then two replacements.... don’t rate dan Murray and playing second rowers in at prop really is not working Mulhern misses a lot of tackles so you need another prop at lest to be on with him that maria was the sort of prop we need surely there’s a few good beefy championship props we could sign

A lack of ‘beef’ or robust physicality throughout the team has been a problem for a long time. Our coaches seem to have almost taken a perverse pride in prioritising mobility and being a better team ‘when the grounds firm up’. Imo, it is at the root of our need to play well for 80 minutes just to compete (the height of Sheens ambition in SL being for it to be close in the last few minutes), and a contributory factor to some of our injury woes.

Obviously, we’ve got more immediate concerns and recruitment should be judged when we can see the whole picture. But those we’ve been strongly linked with - none are ‘big boppers’, or even big/powerful for their position.

Could be the game Mulhern refinds his mojo? He Parcell and Garbutt will be right in the middle of some beefy hits from their old muckers.Throw in McGuire and maybe Keinhorst and plenty of incentive to perform. Unfortunately after last week's performance against a team missing 4 plus Clubb injured early I think we would struggle to get on top of any pack. Hope I'm wrong and Smith has targeted this game and a similar performance to the Derby miraculously is served up but fear the worst

Just been having a look at the views of Leeds fans on their board and found this post, which made me happy.

Maybe our light pack will pay dividends towards the end of the game once their big boppers are down on fuel, we’ll see.

A fan of another team saw their pack as being lightweight and and ours as containing big boppers! Amazing.

Obviously it didn’t pay dividends for Leeds because as we have demonstrated repeatedly in recent years, lightweight packs get trampled on.

Tbf, it didn’t look that lightweight to me - but i’m still going to enjoy the moment. Also that we won and the 2 points and that, but mostly the pack thing.

That's all well and good but all one loon took out of tonight's Sky match was Snide and Kelly are better players than McGuire. Think this season any team can win on any given day and attitude is key. How ourselves Leeds and Cas can be polar opposites of the week before is hard to fathom?

Johnson Murray at prop are fairly small props. But youth and a chance at first team means they try that much harder. Can't fault Maria before and these 3 loans now. Sometimes a team is greater than individual parts and Smith seems to have sparked a new sense of pride in to the team?

Murray is bigger than Scruton according to Wikipedia. Random comparison, and not the most reliable source, I admit. As Johnson fills out a little more he could become real handful.

But yeah, I imagine they were thinking about Masoe and Garbutt. I just enjoyed the novelty of Rovers’ pack being perceived that way. Long may it continue!
