Looks like we could get more bans by the RFL after the derby. Comments by dull FC "fans" who think our players were guilty of multiple offences and the HDM who suggest Maurice Blair faces a "lengthy" ban. It seems in my (admitted) biased opinion that any indiscretion by our players gets punished but others don,t. Hope I am proved wrong but after having three banned last time and no one from any other team getting banned, I,m not confident. We can,t afford to lose anyone now at the sudden death stage of the season. Hope I,m wrong and happy to be so, but we will soon find out what they do to us and any other Middle Eight teams. |

I think that only Blair will get a ban |

If there is any consistency, then Blair will receive a suspended fine just as S Tomkins did when doing it to Leeds fans in the CC semi a few years ago. |

If only, but that was Wigan, and Tomkins. Consistency with the RFL disciplinary panel seems an alien concept. Punishment seems to depend on who you play for, what your name is, and what your next game is , or am I being a bit cynical? We will know soon enough. Showing my age now, but I remember our big international forward John Taylor being banned for the 1964 Wembley final. That decision stank to high heaven...now if he played for, lets say one or two other teams, I suspect he may well have played. But there again, I am a bit cynical. |

Don't think we are meant to discuss that at moment. FC fans mischief making if what I am told is correct but we will see? |

Went to see that match against Widnes and was very disappointed that John Taylor was not in the side. Was living in London and thought he was out through injury. Saw him play for Rovers in Hull a few times and he was a great loose forward. Believe he was the first Robins player to tour with Gt Britain in Aus/ NZ. 'Rocky' Turner was the preferred loose forward in the Ashes matches.( GB won 2-1) You can really show your age if you watched an earlier excellent Rovers loose forward of 40's/50's vintage who also played for GB in England against NZ. Taken as a kid by my mum to a Rovers match for my first taste of league he stood out like a beacon due to his bald head.....................Alec Dockar. |

Taken from Sky Sports Blair, who was sin-binned by referee Gareth Hewer for dissent during his side's 20-16 derby win over Hull FC, will face a hearing over a grade D offence of "other contrary behaviour", while Oakes has been handed a one-match penalty notice for a trip I did think DT's tackle was a just cheap shot but no team would have any players if they start getting bans. |
