Contract extension, until the end of 2021. Best news in a long time (alreight, it’s not had much by way of competition!). |

I was slagging him off a couple of seasons ago saying it was a pointless signing but I've got to admit I was completely wrong I'd say he's our best forward now |

Although excellent news, surely this is worthless should we get relegated? I think the RFL needs to alter the void contract situation for relegated clubs. You could realistically spend lots of money and time developing a player, only for him to become a free agent due to relegation. I would rather it be a situation where if relegated, you still have the players contracted, but the release clause is in the clubs favour, so the club can void who`s contract they want. Thus clearing all the high earners to soften the blow. |

Or has some decisions yet to be released from the chairmans meeting in Leeds on monday made the decision to sign the contract more straight forward? |

The lads have bills to pay, same as anybody, and they already have more restraints placed on them than most employees. The parachute payment they brought in last year, and contracted wage adjustments would be more balanced that just cancelling contracts on both sides, IMO. |
