Having let the dust settle and after watching the horror unfold a few times again today, unfortunately it has only confirmed my belief that Terry Campese is probably the biggest disappointment since Kerry Bousted. He has spent most of his time in the stands and when on the pitch, gone missing in the big games. Yesterday,we needed a leader we didn't get one to organise and direct players around the pitch. Apart from the 40/20 (which admittedly was one of the best I have seen in recent years)his kicking game and choice of kicks, particularly in the last 10 mins was shocking .He should have been kicking into touch to wind down the clock rather than going to the air. The set of six following the 40/20 was terrible with Bobby just giving up possession. They were in front of the posts for long enough why did Campese not kick a drop goal? They would have then needed 2 converted tries instead of 2 tries and 1 conversion not to mention taking more time off the clock. Poor leadership. When Salford kicked off at 18-14 there was 53 seconds on the clock. Why on earth weren't our players told to lay on in the tackle ,by the 'captain' even though they would have been penalised? Again this would have run down the clock before Salford got anywhere near our line. Hopefully, Campese will not see out his last year he is a massive drain on resources. |

Can't argue with much of that, I think it's a bit of an over reaction to compare him to Bousted. Anyway, listening to his interview on Radio Humberside I'm pretty sure he's going to call it a day. |

Anyway, listening to his interview on Radio Humberside I'm pretty sure he's going to call it a day. He called it a day after last season but didn't tell the rovers coaches should of been paid off last year but instead of taking the hit you let him ruin another years rugby and paid the ultimate price, its the same with Kelly why was he not on the pitch in the last 3 games ok discipline or get rid at the end of the season, again it was done to save money and not have to pay him off his contract saving 50k or something like that has cost you a million or more, Was it the same with loan players none brought in, kids brought in from city of Hull who weren't really ready for this level instead of season pros on loan, again money saving, you hardened fans who go home and away dipping into your pockets deserved better. I'm sorry for you all, you will be a loss to all super league teams the travelling support and atmosphere you bring to games, but the management reap what they sow and its there fault your in this predicament Hudge should have excepted Peacocks' resignation, What's he going to tell Sheens and what contacts in Aus has he got to help Sheens, can not see Sheens going to him for advice can you, waste of money which could be spent on your player roster if you have one of the most experienced and highest regarded coaches in the world coming in why do you need a football manager ? |

I agree you cant compare campese to bousted, campese has been much worse.A total waste of a quota space and money. Its a pity he didnt man up like michael weyman and do the right thing and admit he was knackered. |

I feel privileged to have watched Terry Campese in a Rovers shirt. Thanks Terry and Hudge for making this happen. |

He is as indirectly more to blame than most other players in our team for our relegation. But he'll go now, probably without a heavy heart to his swanky pad in Canberra employed in some capacity with his old club. I doubt he'll give two tits about our club when he's back settled there. I for one wish he'd done a Michael Wayman way back in pre-season, he knew all to well he was knackered. So his legacy will be 'legend at Canberra', 'failure at hkr'. |

Not really been the same since Grant Millington ran over him in May last year. Suffered numerous injuries. I totally agreed with the lack of leadership in that last 5 minutes or so. Especially that last play of the ball, should have taken the pen / yellow , leaving 1 last play but crucially a set line! |
