I've unashamadly stolen this from the Hull FC Board, so it simple list your favourite Derby Matches from the time you have been following Rovers. Mine in no particular order.

- Premiership Final 1981 - Fantastic day out at Headingly, just a week after being well beaten by Widnes in the CC Final, Rovers won a close game 11-7 with the highlight Steve Hartley going the full length of the field to score.

- The Boulevard 1981 - I know everyone remembers this for 'The Battle of the Boulevard' caused by a few idiots, but what is largly forgotten is what a fantastic game it was, the lead changing hands several times, Hull scoring in the final minute but then missing a touchline conversion giving Rovers a narrow win by only 1 point despite outcoring Hull by 5 tries to 2.

- Wembley 1980 - 'nuff said.

- 42-6 - After making a good start to their debut Super League season the wheels had fallen off Rovers campaign including a few real hammerings by 50 and 60 points, so most of us went into this game with trepedation, but that was dispelled early on as Rovers raced into an early lead, by mid way thru the second half it was all over, and by FT Rovers Fans had the KC virtually to ourselves.

- Cardiff Played 3 won 3, first two were very close and only won due to some heroic defending late in the games to defy an FC onslaught. The third one was a stroll, even the final 34-22 FT score flattered Hull.

- Boothferry Park 1997 - Stanley leading from the front and a last minute winner [ http://www.hullkr.tv/?v=2&pg=1 Including the contraversal 'missed' conversion!]

I even enjoyed some of the games we lost, like the '78 Cup Match at the Boulevard, the 1-11 in 1982 standing in the freezing pouring rain at the Gordon Street end, the Floodlit Final, great days out despite the losses.

Great try. This was one of my favourite derby games, along with the CCF in 80, 42-6 (not just because it was against them ,but we stayed in SL) and the Play off.

I used to love the Xmas day matches as well.

Funny how just six bonths before Rovers had been well beaten at The Boulevard to virtually assure Hull of winning The Championship. It was the turning point of that season for Rovers who had made a poor start to the season winning only 2 of their first 7 games. After that victory Rovers won 26 of the next 31 games that season on their way to the title and Premiership! What a fantastic squad we had

Coincided with Broadhurst arriving, we drew his first game against Oldham and then went on to batter FC.

Boothferry park in 97. I was at a scout camp the day of the match. I was cooking breakfast over some brazier when I saw my dads car pull up. He said pack your kit son we've a match to get too. I remember running to his car with a Sausage butty in my mouth with the scout leader protesting that I couldn't just take off. Then with seconds go it all seemed like slow motion as Fletcher rose like a swan to pluck Wayne Parkers bomb out the air. Was all magic till I walked out and saw a Hull fan smack a police horse square in the face with a traffic cone :)

Those where the days!!
