There are folks telephoning in the local area stating that they are from microsoft saying that your PC has sent an error message that you need to fix.
They tried it with my mother-in-law she said if it need doing that her son-in-law (me) will sort it.

No doubt if she had been taken in she would have been directed to either give them her e-mail address or look on a certain website.

Just be careful, I do hope they telephone me however as I will tie them in knots with the questions I will ask them
'How do you know this telephone number ties to this IP address?'
'Do you know the name of my service provider'
'What updates have I downloaded recently'
'What OP am I using'
'What version of that OP am I using'

At which point I will tell them to make love and leave.

I had them ring me last year and rang back several times over a 2 week period. They got the same answer everytime. I also had them on earlier this year. It's amazing how quickly they hang up when a load whistle is blown down the phone. The story has been covered this week on Radio Humberside and a couple of people have been hit for £99.00 each.

I imagine that happens with most of your telephone conversations...

That was clearly taking the mickey with someone who I've had loads of banter over the years.

Do you have to miss the point due to a lack of any humour on every thread?

I've been on with them before. They are trying to sell you really expensive internet security. They have rang a couple of times and I just put the phone down on them.

Apparently not look at 'Grr' and ' :HAND: ' in my last post as examples.
You seem to have missed the humour in my post however.
