Paea/ Clinton / Taylor/ Wheeldon / Mika/ Horne/ Cox/ Murrell/

carries 16. carries 8. carries 6. carries 11. carries 14. carries 8. carries 5. carries 7.
metres 107 metres 72 Metres 42 metres 65 metres 114 metres 44 metres 30 metres 34
tackles 18 tackles 15 tackles 15 tackles 19 tackles 26 tackles 36 tackles 8 tackles 18

taken from the Engage S/L website

IMO only Paea and Mika have come out of the Leeds game looking good. Joel Clintons and Scott taylors are way below good enough and im suggesting Jordan Cox hasnt had enough game time.
We need to be a lot better than this week in week out if were going do anything this year.
8 drives from a starting prop is Edit-AS to be honest.

no where near long enough, the same with Cox, we need to be spelling the forwards better so were fresh the full game.

like with all stats there are different ways of interpreting them. Clinton's average metres per carry for instance is higher than all the other forwards at 9 metres per carry. So does that mean he's not taking in enough carries or that quality is better than quantity.

true, an average of 9m is great, but with the reduced interchange we need more than 8 drives IMO

Think you need to put Lovegroves stats in there aswell - was defending in the middle.

Also IMO Clinton and Wheldon had good games in attack and ran into the Leeds forwards hard and strong. Also you cant say Horne didnt come out of it looking better then average - good tackle count and 2 tries.

well theyll have to play better

compare our forwards to Wakefields and we come up well short.

Amor 144 metres from 19 drives, Paul Johnson made 133 from 25 drives and Wilkes made 104 from 15 drives,

it isnt the lack of yards that bothers me, its the lack of drives our props made.

Based on those stats, Horney deserves some credibility, his tackle rate is at least double to the majority of the rest.
