In the spirit of embracing a wider subject matter on here, The Mirror today published its RL highlights of the year.

As you'd expect, multiple plaudits for Leeds. The City of Hull shares 3 mentions, none of them good. Rovers won "Farce of the Year" and a mention for Ben Cockayne. FC won the underachievers award for "finishing 6th". Crikey.

The Telegraph's review is more in depth:

Having read through, things I will remember will be some brilliant tries from Ryan Hall and Damien Blanch in the corners, and Kevin Sinfield's ultimate professionalism (the talent of Sam Tomkins being displayed is pretty much a given). I will miss James Graham. Embodiment of PFU values and a huge player for Saints to replace.

Stop it. RL news per se is now up open for business on here (subject to worthiness of thread, but really the competition high and lowlights must be worthy of discussion), so stop de-railing.

Sandra is right about the Lego, though. Quality.

I do love Kevin Sinfield. He always looks like a sad dog, like that Droopy character from the 1930s cartoon, but is really developing hero status. I think he will one day be mentioned in the New Years Honours, and rightly so.
