Great news if true, the south stand development has been submitted to planning. Think a very rich man and his son is to be thanked.
The north Stand starts after the Wigan home game on Jan 8th and by the end of 2013 the South stand will be started.

I have seen the plans and prospectus submitted by Navitas for the South Stand, and when I last spoke to Pease he said it was all balanced (on a knife edge) on getting AA back on track re the sports academy. As far as I know, AA still feels unloved by KUHCC so to me that means the plans for future developments at MS3CP beyond the North Stand, Golf stand moving to the South end, and the East Stand extension are the only 'green' light projects of any certainty.
I hope the dispute (re the Council's rejection over the sale of the KC) has been resolved (or even forgiven), plus if AA does give his 'approval' then that means to me Siemens are defo investing in the docks project. Why else would a business man like AA invest in such a South Stand project and Academy?

Pugwash what do you mean by the north stand will be started....?

My thought process was just the we're dismantling the golf stand and erecting it in front of the old north stand. With the big screen from town centre to be put up at the top of the old stand were the old score board is...

And I'm still convinced I've seen it said somewhere that nothing will be done to the east stand until everything else has been done 1st and that it is very much at the bottom of the priority lists.

Building work starts after the friendly with Wigan, Moving the temp stand to the south end.

Smithy said something along the lines of, "we won't start the east stand until we know where we are with the funding for the north stand", obviously, the money they had for the east may have been needed to be spent on the north, however, haven't the council now agreed to fund the north? Means that the east stand funds remain intact and will go ahead, as planned.

Your compass is not working me old fruit, the Golf stand will be erected in front of the south terrace :wink:

I am thinking the East Stand will get done as the original funding was £6.5M and went back for resubmission as they underpriced it, the approved funding is for £8.2m so we may get the extension done.
