Very sad news that has shocked the whole sporting world, such a great footballer, excellent person to speak to with no hairs or graces. So much to live for and a promising future with the Welsh national team. Will be missed greatly by the wider footballing world. Like everyone else I was truly shocked when I heard the news today, such a well-liked guy with seemingly so much to live for.

As a Newcastle fan he was easily one of my favourite players during his six years with the club. Gave so much to football and has been building the start of a promising future for the Welsh national team.

RIP Gary Speed. Legend.
